New Year’s dreams01/01/2012
Phil Rout, Brazil:
‘My two new student work interns start in January, which is very exciting. The Christian Union groups in Bauru are growing in numbers and maturity, and I am excited about the potential impact of the interns, Josué and Marcos, as they work alongside them in 2012.’
Manuel Reaño, Colombia:
‘This year I am preparing to teach two online courses for the leadership of a whole Central American denomination, after they asked the seminary where I work in Medellín to design an online training scheme.’
Jose Carlos and Marizete Lara, Northern Ireland:
‘This year, we would like God’s guidance in working out more ways to reach the immigrant communities around us in Belfast. We would also like to see more people from local churches sharing this vision and getting involved.’
Bernhard and Hanny Wenk, Peru:
‘In 2012 we hope to train more people as Promoters of the Prevention of Violence and Sexual Abuse. These people will take the message more widely to churches and homes, educating people about this taboo subject.’
Jan Greenwood, Brazil:
‘I’m aiming to produce a book in 2012. I’ve completed a dissertation about the children of missionary families and the preparation they need before crossing cultures. I hope to make this into a book that will be useful for parents and mission agencies.’
