Find out what the fascinating country of Cuba is like as you spend 4 weeks living and volunteering in the heart of a local community. You'll be immersed in the culture as you work alongside a local Church congregation as it seeks to reach out to the community around it. It's probably fair to say you'll experience the side of Cuba that your average visitor doesn't!
The team will offer some much needed help to one of our partner churches as it faces huge daily challenges. With many communities drawn to a variety of idol based religions you'll be involved in the planning and delivering of various community focused church activities. Get stuck in through music and drama, working with young people, helping run bible study groups, practical work, running sports tournaments, going out on the streets and much much more.
Part of your time will also be spent helping to run a Christian summer camp for a large number of young people. So come prepared for plenty of water fights and energetic activities.
Church leaders have commented that Step teams have not only been a huge help in terms of the practical things, but also they have been a massive help in encouraging and motivating Cuban Church members to take up the challenge of looking outwards into their communities!
Through the time spent with local Cubans you'll You're bound to learn loads as you step out in faith and work alongside the local Cubans. So why not let God use you in a really practical way this Summer!
