Our members

When we accept someone for mission in Latin America or Spain, they become a member of Latin Link and the team in their destination country.

Around 30 people each year go from the UK to work in Latin America or Spain for periods of time from six months to two years on our Stride programme.  Many find they are captivated by the country they work in, and some return to stay – even if they didn’t start out with that intention.

Other people apply with the aim of staying in mission for longer periods of time, for three to six years, or indefinitely. After satisfactorily completing a two-year Stride they can apply to be accepted on an open-ended basis. We currently have about 60 members from the UK living and working in Latin America, fully involved with Latin American churches and Christian projects. The field of opportunity is open, and we’d like to send more people to discover their calling in Latin America or Spain!

Apart from members resident in Latin America and Spain, we currently have about a dozen Latin Americans working in mission in the UK and other European countries. They are placed through Latin Partners, a branch of Latin Link.
