What is Inspire!?

Inspire! is an annual event for people who are interested in mission to and from Latin America. It's a wonderful opportunity to be re-inspired about Latin American mission; to worship, pray, and spend time hearing amazing stories from Latin Link members.

This year's theme: Extra/Ordinary People

We'll be exploring how God uses ordinary passions, in extraordinary ways.

With God's power working in us, God can do much, much more than anything we can ask or imagine.

Ephesians 3:20 (NCV)

Event timetable

The Inspire! event comprises two main sessions, with the option of lunch in the middle. The whole event is open to everybody, so please come to as much or as little as you would like.

10:00 - 12:30 | Inspire! Brunch session

Join us to chat to like-minded people, worship together, learn more about God’s mission and find out how he is using ordinary people to do extraordinary things in Latin America and beyond. Plus you'll get to eat some yummy food in a relaxed café atmosphere! (We suggest a donation on the day of £5 per person.)

12:30 - 13:15 | Lunch

Everyone is invited for lunch, which we will provide (again we suggest a donation on the day of £5 per person).

13:30 - 16:00 | Inspire! Afternoon session

In this session, we'll be hearing from different Latin Link members about what God has been doing across Latin America. There will also be time to pray for Latin mission and to continue worshiping God together.

Who's speaking?

Throughout the day, we'll be joined by a wonderful selection of speakers from around the world. These include:

David Barr, speaking at this yearRodolfo Rodas, serving with Latin Link in Guatemala

David Barr is an author, teacher, and has recently returned from mission in Thailand, with UFM (United For Mission). He has a passion for serving God and His people, and a huge amount of experience in global mission.

Neil and Jenny Stewart have recently returned to Belfast after spending two years as mission workers in Chile, where they worked as community outreach workers and student pastors. Jenny is now the Latin Link Ireland Coordinator.

Rodolfo Rodas has been serving in Guatemala with Latin Link for many years. He continues to serve as a pastor in Guatemala City. He also directs the Educando para la Vida (Education for Life) Association, working with children, young people and families at risk in Zaragoza and Chimaltenango.

Ellen Cupples served last year on Latin Link's Stride programme at the Shalom Centre in Arequipa, Peru.
