138km Puebla to Teotihuacán Trek

We're taking part in Latin Link's Indoor Expeditions to raise money for vulnerable families affected by COVID-19 in Mexico. We’ll be running/walking 138km, the equivalent distance between Puebla City, where we live, and Teotihuacan. Teotihuacan is popular tourist destination here in Mexico; it's an ancient Mesoamerican city, known today as the site of many Mesoamerican pyramids, including the famous Pyramid of the Sun.

For this expedition, Joel is doing the first 100km, and Mayra will be doing the following 38km. The distance should take 15 days to cover, and involves running and walking 11.5 laps of an 800m circuit every day. We're jogging on the small green area of the neighbourhood where we live in Puebla.

The money raised will be going to support some of the families in our community most affected by coronavirus, providing food and financial aid. Many people have lost their income due to the national lockdown, so there are lots of families in great need.

Are you able to help by sponsoring our run? Any amount you can afford will make a huge difference.

Thank you!

Joel and Mayra Gonzalez
